The wall is drywall. I have the mount, and the mount came with tools, used the stud finder and everything was going well until we drilled and discovered it was a metal stud. I’ll have to make adjustments: 1) Should the metal be drilled through? 2) What parts do I need? and 3) Should I ever need to remove the TV and the mount, is it relatively straightforward to “repair” the wall (I know there’ll be a little damage). I’d like to put up the TV though. Cheers,

I just got a new 42” Phillips Plasma TV. I have a sony surround sound system that I would like to hook up to it. The plasma tv has a jack called SPDIF Output. The surround sound system requires a Left and Right audio input. The problem is that the tv only has that ONE jack for output and the surround sound system requires TWO. I purchased a cord that you can hook up to one jack and it has 2 RCA jack female parts. I hooked my 2 audio cords into this and it still doesn’t work. Maybe the cord that I purchased to make it into TWO jacks doesn’t work for audio. Can anyone tell me how to hook up surround sound to an SPDIF output jack!!
